What? Back up my data? Why do I need to do that if NewPanda backs up my data? Well.... let us explain....
Yes, we back up all data every single day. We keep a copy for a VERY short time (like until we make 3 new copies), in case some extremely rare problem happens on OUR end. Then it's OUR job to fix it. But we can't take our developers away from their very busy schedules to find and restore data deleted by account holders either by accident or on purpose (or we would have to hire at least one full-time person called a Data-Putter-Backer).
Plus then we'd have all these files laying around on our servers (expensive AND inefficient), or on shelves somewhere (ALSO expensive and inefficient), taking up valuable space. And invariably, someone wouldn't notice they deleted their contacts or wanted them back until the DAY AFTER we got rid of the file with that data on it... you see where it all leads. Trust us, it's just better this way.
INSTEAD, we recommend that you periodically export a COPY of your data and save it off somewhere that you can get to it. We encourage, urge and admonish you to save copies of your data like once a month. Create a folder on your desktop or C drive called "Monthly Data Backup" and keep each file for a year. If you haven't used it in a year, it's WAY OLD and probably obsolete, so you wouldn't want to use it anyway (YIKES!).
Then if you accidentally delete some or all your contacts from NewPanda one day (deletions are done in real-time and are saved in your "Recently Deleted Contacts" list for three to six months), or if you THOUGHT you didn't need some of your data anymore, and then seven months later, you have an epiphany of a great new way you could use that data - you're covered!
