Home → NewPanda → Unsubscribe Topics → If someone unsubscribes from one eMessage, are they unsubscribed from everything?
Updated 10.05.16
In accordance with the Federal CAN-SPAM Act, when one of your email recipients unsubscribes from one eCommunication from you, they are automatically unsubscribed from all eCommunications from you through the NewPanda system. BUT....
Exception #1: If you have multiple NewPanda accounts that contain the same recipient email address, each "unsubscribe" will follow ONLY the account from which it was unsubscribed. If you want a recipient unsubscribed in your other accounts, you will need to manually unsubscribe it. See our pages on Adding and Managing Contacts and Can I manually unsubscribe a contact.
Exception #2: If you have several contact records with different email addresses for a single recipient, the recipient is ONLY unsubscribing the email address associated with the eMessage they received from which they clicked the Unsubscribe link. So if a recipient wanted to receive eCommunications from you in their G-Mail account but not their AOL account, they could simply unsubscribe from an eMessage they received at their AOL email address.
Check out our page on what to do with contacts that have unsubscribed.
